Happy February! You are probably wondering why on earth I am posting a Happy New Year outfit this late in the game, but it’s because last May I read the book “The Happiness Project”. In the book the author talks about picking a new goal each month and striving to accomplish it. One goal, one month – much more obtainable than 50 for the whole year. It keeps you accountable and helps you to check in each month and re-evaluate. So, My goals for this year are broken down into smaller, more obtainable, month to month increments. Here they are (in no specific order):
1. I will take life a little less seriously. I am a really stressful person 90% of the time. I stress over unnecessary things and often blow it way out of proportion. So, I want to take the time to enjoy life a little more. Find joy in the little things, laugh more often, let things roll off my shoulders, relax, and try to live in the moment. Celebrate success, and allow failure to help me grow.
2. I will work for my dream body. Not just out of vanity, but out of self love. I feel more confident and happy when I am working out and feeling my best – I think everyone can relate to that. So, I will wake up early, workout Monday through Saturday and do what it takes to get that body. I am trying to wake up early before class and workout everyday but let me tell you, it is hard! I am NOT a morning person at all, but we have class at 8 am here in Jerusalem and I love getting my workouts done in the morning to jumpstart my day, so I am doing it! I will also eat healthy and intuitively, listen to my body and fuel it with the nutrients it needs. My dream is to be a professional dancer so this goal is especially important in order to obtain that goal!
3. I will grow closer to my Heavenly Father. I will take more time to pray – morning and night no matter how tired I am. Prayer is such an important act of faith that I think benefits every single person. No matter what it is you believe in, I think taking the time to meditate and show gratitude is such an important aspect of life.
4. I will be reliable and dependable. I will be ON TIME!! I am honestly always late and I am so sick of being the late girl.. all. the. time. (sorry everyone). I will be where I say I’m going to be, when I say I will be there. I will do what I say I’m going to do, when I say I’m going to do it. I’m also going to try to be better at sticking to my budget (It’s just, shopping is wayyyy too fun).
What are some of your Goals?? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
